Biography: Here's what I can remember...sometimes I can't remember Yesterday. Went into the USAF on March of 1968 At Lackland AFB Texas completed basic then went to Chanute AFB for training in Fuel Systems repair. My first base after that was Nellis AFB Nevada from September to December of that year and worked on the F-111 aircraft. Went to Phan Rang, Vietnam on Jan. 69 thru Jan.70 while there, I worked on C-123 cargo planes.

After that memorable experience got stationed at Norton AFB in California . There my first son was born on Dec. 1970. Worked on C-141's. I liked California but couldn't stand the smog coming out of LA....Norton is in San Bernadino.

From there I crossed trained into Weather Recon. stuff at Chanute AFB again then went to join the Hurricane Hunters in Ramey AFB in Puerto Rico. Then the base closed down and our operations were out of Keesler AFB in Missisippi. I never flew into any Hurricanes but our planes the C-130's did...I was only the technician...they had the operators that used the weather stuff that took all the readings inside those things...My second son was born In Petoskey during the period when we left Puerto Rico in 1973 for Keesler AFB. Air Force Brats...as you might say. Got out in Nov. 1975.

Began my career with the FAA....Federal Aviation Administration in Feb. 1976. We take care of all the landing aides used at airports through out the US to land aircraft on the runways and communications used by Air Traffic Control to assist aircraft to reach their destinations...pretty cool job....been here ever since at Pellston airport....33 years with the federal government so far...wow that sure doesn't seem that long.....

I'm also a musician in a band I've been with since 1976...and play the guitar and lately the keyboards with a group called TNT.....that's fun stuff.

This will be my first Reunion with our group and am looking forward to this. Looked at that group photo of past reunions and some I recognize and others I'm not sure....we're all now middle aged and some have changed more than others...that middle aged spread has caught up to some of us....by that I mean....."when you stand in front of the mirror naked.. and you can see your rear-end without turning around....that's Middle Aged Spread.."

Had a great life so far and am looking forward to many more. This is about all I've got and like I said before...looking forward to my first Class of 66 Reunion.....see you all later.......
